CrewMind app for iPhone and iPad

CrewMind was designed and built to be the Contacts app for the select group of people with whom you regularly want or need to keep in touch.

CrewMind pulls your contacts from your iOS address book and shows you their current availability, general location, local time, mood and their preferred modes of communication.

WHY CREWMIND

If you believe your iPhones address book should be more than a cemetery for numbers or miss having spontaneous conversations with loved ones and close friends but also dislike sending the #1 mood killing message of all times, “Hey, are you free?”, only to hear back when the answer no longer matters, then CrewMind is for you!

The popularity of Social Media has grown exponentially but it has also become fairly evident that it can’t replace the real-world connections that reflect the greater part of who we are as humans. CrewMind is built exclusively to make it easier for you to stay connected offline with the most important people in your life, your Crew.

HOW DOES IT WORK

Once you’ve downloaded the app and verified your number, CrewMind will sync with your iPhones address book and allow you to invite contacts you’d like to share a connection with on the app.

There are 6 main features of the app which can mostly be accessed when you edit your profile:

1. Do not disturb: With CrewMind, you can instantly see which of your contacts are unavailable and for how long, making it easier to know when to reach out to them.

2. Location: The world keeps getting smaller and with nearly everyone suffering from the travel bug, CrewMind lets you know the general location of your friends anywhere in the world. Location can be turned off and on at any time.

3. Local Time: Worldwide time zones have been around since the 1800s, but most people still don’t know how to calculate them. Fret not, CrewMind displays the local time of your contacts so you can save your arithmetic skills for more important reasons.

4. Moods: Mental health affects billions of people worldwide and we care. CrewMind lets you share your current mood (e.g. Happy, Sad, Angry, Excited, Calm, Thoughtful, or Depressed) and also your connections so you can be there for each other when most needed. This is the feature we’re most proud of.

5. Modes of Communication: CrewMind supports iMessage, Facetime, Phone Calling or WhatsApp but not all may be suitable at a given time. As a result, you can set which modes of communication you’d prefer. For example, while driving, to avoid text messages and video calls, can select Call as the only option displayed.

6. Privacy: CrewMind lets you keep your availability and other details private from anyone who’s not on your Favourites’ list. You can change your privacy in your Settings.

Note: No communication actually happens on CrewMind, we simply redirect you to the application (e.g. FaceTime, iMessage, WhatsApp) that supports the communication option you choose. Consequently, we neither have access nor store any of your data from those platforms.
CrewMind uses your phone’s Internet connection (4G/3G/2G/EDGE or Wi-Fi, as available) therefore data charges may apply. Contact your provider for details.

CrewMind is currently only available for iPhones. We do not support any other smartphones, iPads and iPods.
